Frequently asked questions
What’s the difference between a Regular and Extended License?
A Regular License covers using a product in a single end product for yourself or one client. An Extended License covers using it in something you’ll go on to sell or redistribute to multiple end users. Individual sellers can price each tier however they like, and not every product offers both — the available options are always shown on the product page before you buy.
Are there any subscriptions or recurring charges?
No. Every purchase on SellMyScript is a one-time payment tied to a specific product and license tier. There are no marketplace subscriptions, seat fees, or renewal charges.
What exactly is the commission rate?
The platform commission is set centrally and can change over time, so we don’t hardcode a number here — the current rate is always shown clearly in your seller dashboard, alongside a running total of what you’ve earned after commission on every sale.
How and when do sellers get paid?
Revenue from your sales, minus commission, accumulates as your available balance. Once that balance reaches the platform’s minimum payout amount, you can request a payout from your dashboard at any time. Our team reviews each request and processes it from there.
What if I’m not happy with a purchase?
Open the order from your account and submit a refund request with a short reason — our team reviews every request individually. See our refund policy for the full details.
Does every purchase include support?
Yes. Each product lists a support window set by its seller, covering install help and bug fixes for the version you purchased. Support terms are shown on the product page before checkout.
