SellMyScript operates a marketplace connecting buyers and sellers of digital products. Operating that marketplace means we collect some information about you — this policy covers what, why, and what control you have over it. It applies to everyone who uses the site, whether you're browsing, buying, or selling.

We collect information in a few different ways:

• Account information — name, username, email address, and password (stored in hashed form) when you register. If you become a seller, we also collect a display name, bio, and payout details.
• Transaction information — the products you purchase or sell, order history, license assignments, and refund or payout requests.
• Payment information — payments are processed by our third-party payment processor. We receive confirmation of successful payments and limited metadata (such as the last four digits of a card), but we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Content you provide — product listings, reviews, questions, support messages, and any files you upload as a seller.
• Usage information — pages you visit, searches you run, and general device and browser information, collected automatically to help the site work correctly and to improve it.

We use the information above to:

• Operate core marketplace functionality — checkout, licensing, downloads, and payouts
• Authenticate your account and keep it secure
• Provide customer support and respond to refund or dispute requests
• Show you relevant products, categories, and search results
• Send transactional messages, such as order confirmations and support replies
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service
• Understand aggregate usage patterns so we can improve the platform

We share information only where it's necessary to run the marketplace:

• With sellers — when you purchase a product, the seller can see limited order information (such as your name and the license purchased) so they can provide support.
• With service providers — including our payment processor and hosting infrastructure, solely to provide the services they perform for us.
• For legal reasons — if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SellMyScript, our users, or others.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as your light/dark theme. We use aggregate, non-invasive analytics to understand how the site is used and to find and fix problems. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect core functionality like staying signed in.

We retain account and transaction information for as long as your account is active and afterward as needed to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we delete or anonymize it.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information, most of which you can update directly in your account settings
• Request deletion of your account and associated personal information
• Object to or restrict certain kinds of processing
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format

SellMyScript is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

SellMyScript serves buyers and sellers around the world. By using the platform, you understand that your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, which may have different data protection laws than your home jurisdiction. We take steps to ensure information transferred internationally receives an appropriate level of protection.
